Pray for peace tonight and at all-day Adoration Wednesday, August 13

Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila of Denver invites you to participate in an evening of interreligious prayer for peace in the Middle East tonight at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception or join the event on Facebook. Saint Joseph Catholic Church will dedicate its regular day of Adoration to peace in the Middle East, Wednesday, August 13, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

This summer we have witnessed unprecedented persecution and killing of Christians in the Middle East perpetrated by radical militant groups such as the Islamic State (ISIS).

Archbishop Aquila will gather tonight with other Catholic clergy and leaders of other faiths to share in a time of prayer for peace at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver. Leaders will represent Christian churches of the Middle East, including both Catholic and Orthodox heritages, as well as local Jewish and Muslim communities.

All are invited. Send this invitation to your friends, family and faith community.
