New Catholic school – transitions among our Sisters

Dear Friends,

It is with both joy and sadness that we announce that two of our beloved Sisters, Sr. Julia and Sr. Bridget, will move this summer to Our Lady of Loreto Parish in Foxfield, Colorado. We join Msgr. Edward Buelt and his parish in their joy as they announce the opening of a parish school.

We have been informed that Sr. Julia has been assigned to the position of Principal at the new Catholic grade school, and Sr. Bridget will be a fourth grade teacher. Two other sisters of the order of Our Lady of Mercy will also join the new Catholic school at Our Lady of Loreto.

In further good news, we are happy to announce that Sr. Rose Mary will remain as Principal here at Saint Joseph Catholic School, along with Sr. Eleanora, who currently teaches 3rd Grade. Sister Fatima will return once her visa issues are worked out and we will welcome Sister Rosaria.

As you may imagine, Our Lady of Loreto Parish is ecstatic at the prospect of opening a Catholic grade school for grades K-5, and we share in their joy at the birth of this new ministry, and their hopes for expansion to include a preschool, kindergarten, middle school, and a gymnasium/auditorium. Should you have friends or family in the Foxfield area who may be interested in sending their children, please have them call Our Lady of Loreto Parish offices at (303) 766-3800.

Please join us in prayer that our beloved Sisters find joy and success in this transition, and that the good works begun by the Sisters in our own Saint Joseph community may continue.

In Christ,
