How is a new Pope chosen?

You’ve probably heard in that the Pope is renouncing his chair at the end of this month.  This is the first time in 600 years (a mere 1/3 of the Church’s history) that a Pope has resigned.  Many people are asking how a new Pope will be chosen.  Check out this great article from the US Council of Catholic Bishops:
