He is not just, ‘Jesus, the Divine Handbag’ – Fr. Steven Voss

As Easter approaches, Fr. Steven challenges us to look deeply into our prayer habits and consider true piety v. “Hollywood piety”. We are all called to be holy by means of relationship, just as John the Baptist was so prepared to meet, know, and love Jesus Christ. Holiness is not about imposing the will of God on others, and you don’t have to attempt holiness alone. “I will take you by the hand,” says Christ the Lord. Holiness is about the joy that only Christ can give. He walks with us, and He abides with us.
